B. Braun Announces Prontosan Wound Irrigation Solution and Gel

B. Braun Medical has announced that healthcare professionals can now place orders for Prontosan Wound Irrigation Solution and Gel with PHMB (Polyhexanide), a solution used for cleaning wounds as well as moistening and lubricating absorbent wound dressings, according to a B. Braun news release.
The ready-to-use solution contains PHMB and Betaine, the surfactant for the cleansing and moistening of wounds. With a shelf life of 28 days after opening, Prontosan promotes the release of fibrin coatings and residue from wound coatings, according to the release
The solution is distributed in PVC-free and DEHP-free containers, which make it environmentally friendly.
